Mark Pollock Reaches The South Pole
(29 Jan 2009)
When Mark Pollock went blind at the age of 22, he had two choices: give up or get living.
He chose to live life to the full and his is a story of triumph over adversity. Today, he still pushes himself beyond boundaries and his most recent challenga was to take part in the chelange of a lifetime - a race to the Geographic South Pole.
In December 2008 three interational teams took up the challenge. After 1,000 kilometers and over 21 days of pain and suffering Mark Pollock and his team mates Simon and Inge have arrived safely at the South Pole.
Congratulations to Mark and the team.
