Since joining Haas in 2016 he has been responsible for the team’s global technology operations, overseeing all systems, services, and staff across sites in the UK, US, Italy and trackside. He also leads the team’s enterprise applications, facilities, and ESG strategy ensuring Haas F1 remains at the forefront of technological innovation and sustainability in this data-driven sport. Reporting directly to the Team Principal, Gary plays a key role in driving efficiency and performance across the organisation.

Gary began his Formula One career over 20 years ago at Cosworth Technology as a Trackside Systems Support Engineer. He gained extensive motorsport experience through roles in the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport and racing series including FIA sports cars, world rallying, touring cars and the motorcycle world championship. In 2008, he joined Honda Racing F1’s Test Team, and his career progressed with Brawn GP where, as a Senior Technical Systems Engineer, he played a critical role in the team’s historic 2009 FIA F1 World Championship victory.

In 2011, Gary joined the Mercedes-Benz F1 team, where his strong leadership contributed to the team’s dominant run of consecutive FIA F1 World Championships, ensuring seamless IT operations both at the track and headquarters.

With over two decades in Formula 1, Gary has developed a deep understanding of leadership, teamwork and high-performance culture.
