Richard is the presenter of The Business radio show on RTE Radio One and a columnist with the Irish Independent and Sunday Independent. He has worked in business journalism through TV, radio, print and online for 30 years. He is a former business editor of the Irish Independent and former deputy editor of The Sunday Business Post. He has co-written two books, one on Irish entrepreneurs and the other on the multi-billion euro collapse of Irish Nationwide Building Society. He has also made several television documentaries for RTE including, Future Shock: Property Crash in 2007 and The Battle For Rural Ireland in 2015.
He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience across a wide variety of business, economic and social issues. He has chaired major industry events organized by government departments (like Department of Business Enterprise and Innovation) law firms, regulators (like National Property Services Regulatory Authority, Central Bank, ComReg), and large corporates like Pfizer.
Richard co-hosted the programme Open for Business on RTE with Ella McSweeney and is a very popular MC.
He has also done one-to-one live interviews at events like the Pendulum Summit in Dublin with Sir Alan Sugar, Gary McGann and former Governor of the Central Bank Philip Lane.
