A polished live performer, he is a regular at Irish comedy festivals and has toured as a support act with PJ Gallagher and Maeve Higgins. He now regularly appears on tour with Neil Delamere in Ireland and Sarah Millican in the UK. His stand-up appearances for television include “Stand & Deliver”, “Tonight With Craig Doyle” and as a guest of Ardal O’Hanlon for Dave’s “One Night Stand”. In 2012 he made his solo debut at the Edinburgh Festival with his show “Turbulence” winning a five star review in the process.

He was then invited to support comedy royalty and living legend Joan Rivers for the Dublin dates of her “Now or Never” tour, following these dates Joan Rivers once again asked him to open for her at one of the largest venues on her UK tour, which was filmed for her reality show.

On TV Gearóid is probably best known for playing Pat the conjoined-twin of Gerry (PJ Gallagher) in “Meet Your Neighbours” (RTE). He was also a regular on “The Panel”. He has also notched up appearances in “The Savage Eye”, “Maeve Higgins Fancy Vittles”, “Ireland’s Top 30 TV Moments”, “The Lucy Kennedy Show” and “The Blame Game” on BBC1.

On radio he was a regular long-term contributor to “Breakfast with Bernard and Keith” on iRadio, “The Morning Crew” for 98FM. He has also filled in as guest host for both stations. Nationally he was a regular on The Anton Savage Show and appeared each week on Neil Delamere’s Sunday Best both on Today FM. On 2FM he provided an alternative Royal Wedding commentary for the wedding of William and Kate.

In addition to writing and acting in “Meet Your Neighbours”, Gearóid has also contributed to numerous shows and pilots for TV and Radio and currently has two projects in development.

Gearóid is also an experienced voiceover artist.

Gearóid Farrelly’s comedy career got off to a flying start when in the space of a few short weeks he was a finalist in the prestigious “So You Think You’re Funny?” competition at the Edinburgh Festival and winner of Bulmers Nuthin Butt Funny Newcomer competition at the Bulmers festival in Dublin.
