Rachel and Hannah run 5* luxury wellness escapes around Ireland and overseas, work with professional athletes, partner with other brands to bring yoga to festivals, conferences and events and host yoga classes in Galway for public and private groups. However due to the current restrictions, the two founders have adapted and have succesfully taken their yoga and wellness initiatives online. Yoga Mara has developed into a wellbeing company that offers a range of services to enhance wellbeing for every individual, regardless of their ability, age or gender. Yoga Mara recognises that wellness is attained from numerous activities, not just yoga and their offering has expended to include  yoga, meditation, chair yoga, workshops on essential oils, workshops on the foundations of yoga, cooking demos with Ireland’s leading chefs and workshops on gut health with professional nutritionists.

Yoga is not about touching your toes, it is what you learn on the way down.

"If this challenging time has taught us anything, it’s the importance of connecting with the Self. Take the time to be present and aware in the moment. Take the time to let go and be at peace with what is, drawing awareness to what we have in abundance." Rachel and Hannah Healy

Rachel and Hannah Healy

Founders Yoga Mara, Health and Wellness Advocates

Galway sisters and qualified yoga instructors, Rachel & Hannah Healy, are founders of Yoga Mara, a new health and wellness initiative.

Yoga Mara is aimed at helping individuals and groups escape from the stresses of everyday life while looking after your physical and mental wellbeing. After running their first Yoga Mara Escape in Ballyconneely, Connemara in August 2018, Rachel and Hannah knew they had found something worth pursuing. Rachel left her full-time role as a primary school teacher and Hannah left her event management and marketing job in Dublin making the bold move home to the west to pursue their passion. Coming from two drastically different backgrounds, the two sisters have created a lovely marriage between both skillsets to bring a lovely balance of Yin and Yang to their business.
