In his day job as CEO for the Gaelic Players Association, Tom represents 4000 male & female high performance athletes in Ireland, having previously served on the Board of the Gaelic Players Association as a non-executive director. He was awarded an honorary Fellowship with Engineers Ireland in 2021. He was fomerly Head of Culture at a Fortune 500 company in Ireland. 

He is a STEM ambassador for Engineers Ireland and speaks regularly on the importance of Positive Mental Health, and High Performance Culture. CEO Gaelic Players Association and Former Mayo Footballer

In 2018, speaker Tom Parsons life took a tremendous turn. In the middle of his sporting career with Mayo, he suffered what has been described as career ending, life debilitating knee injury, only to be told 2 days later medical professionals that he will be lucky to walk again, never mind run. 12 months of intense rehab, 7 months off work, dealing with isolation, doubt and the greatest obstacle, fear. Tom somehow, returned from injury to play sport again at the highest level for 2 years and proclaims “It’s strange, it was the toughest of times, but I wouldn’t swap my experience for the world, it thought be one vital lesson of life”
